What is your take on shoes for carnival? I haven't played in a

I've been in a relationship with my American girlfriend for 4 years now. We live together in an apt in D.C. She's been to Trinidad with me a few times before, but never for Carnival. Next Year will be her first time. She knows that I have a lot of female friends back home and I've already explained that I'll most likely take a small wine with them when I see them in fetes or on the road.
